Aging Matters

Children of the American Revolution (CAR)

CHILDREN OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, a sister program of THE REAL AMERICAN REVOLUTION, engages students to examine many of the myths surrounding the American Revolution and corrects many tales and common assumptions, by interviewing American and foreign historians who offer original research and analysis to reveal new insights about the conflict. Here in Williamsburg, Virginia young students from Meridian High School in Falls Church, Virginia interview multiple leaders, including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Patrick Henry and Professor George Wythe, (seen here).

The Bookman's Corner

THE BOOKMAN'S CORNER is a half-hour TV show featuring insightful interviews with authors and critics about compelling nonfiction books. We explore a diverse range of topics, from political history and current events to scientific discoveries and cultural trends. As host, I bring a wealth of experience to these discussions, including my background as a former press secretary to a U.S. Representative and media specialist for the U.S. Senate Republican Conference. The show was originally created by Charles Goolsby in the late 1980s, and he hosted and produced shows in Arlington, VA, until December 2008. Since 2009, Lois Lindstrom has hosted the program in Arlington, VA. Viewers can access an extensive archive of past episodes (over 90!) on the YouTube channel which has already garnered significant interest with over 125,000 views and 452 subscribers.

The Real American Revolution

A special series of TRAR follows the critical joining of French and Colonial Armies, under the command of Generals Rochambeau and Washington, as they march from Newport, Rhode Island to Yorktown, Virginia. Here Mr. Sherrettta greets Marie-Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier de La Fayette, Marquis de La Fayette, (at the French Embassy), known simply in the United States as "Lafayette".
